Many generous organizations, businesses and individuals are sponsoring fundraising events benefiting the Sonoma County Resilience Fund for the mid- to long-term recovery needs of the community after the recent devastating fires. We are grateful for these efforts on behalf of the fire victims, and encourage your attendance and support of these events and their sponsors. 

Past Events

Heroes of October – Pat Kerrigan Scramble: October 1, 2018, Oakmont Golf Club West Course. Enjoy lunch and dinner, silent and live auctions, and a golf scramble with Heroes of October and local celebrities. All dollars raised will go directly to Community Foundation’s Resilience Fund.

Heroes of October – Celebration of Heroes: September 30, 2018, Old Courthouse Square. “The Heroes of October” observance will be a day of music, food, and an afternoon of recognition.

“Thicker Than Smoke” fundraiser: August 3 and 4, 2018, Green Music Center’s Weill Hall at Sonoma State University. Sharing of individual and communal stories related to the 2017 North Bay fires, capped off by a performance by country music superstar Brad Paisley and acclaimed actress Bonnie Hunt. 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales go to the Resilience Fund.

Sonoma Strong Snoopy Sale: March 17, 1 to 4 p.m., Snoopy Gallery and Gift Shop. Contribute to fire recovery while receiving a piece of artwork featuring a beloved Peanuts character. Pick up a Sonoma Strong Snoopy print March 17 at the Snoopy Gallery and Gift Shop. 100% of the proceeds go to the Resilience Fund.

Fire Relief Fundraiser – Music, Food, Drinks, Sports Memorabilia Auction: March 12, 2018, 6 to 9 p.m., Brewsters Beer Garden and Restaurant, Petaluma. Enjoy a delicious buffet, live music, auction of sports memorabilia and an appearance by former Giants pitcher and Santa Rosa resident Noah Lowry. Proceeds from the admission, raffle, and auction tickets will go to victims of the North Bay wildfires.

Sampling with the Sharks: March 6, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Sharks Foundation in San Jose. Spend an exclusive evening sipping some of the finest wines from Northern California with Sharks players, coaches, broadcasters and alumni. Funds raised from this year’s event will support fire victims in Northern California through the Community Foundation Sonoma County and the Napa Valley Community Foundation.

Country for the County – A North Bay Fire Concert: March 3, 2018, Epicenter’s 300 Room: Sponsored by Froggy 92.9 and Epicenter. Featuring five great California-based artists. EVENT IS SOLD OUT. Second Band Together Bay Area Concert to Benefit Fire Victims: December 14, 2017, Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Featuring Red Hot Chili Peppers and Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. Benefits the Community Foundation Sonoma County, Napa Valley Community Foundation, Community Foundation of Mendocino County, Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa, North Coast Opportunities, and others.

Valley of the Moon Music Festival Fire Relief Benefit Concert: December 10, 2017, 4 p.m., Hanna Center Auditorium. Selections from Schubert’s iconic Cello Quintet Mendelssohn C Minor Piano Trio and more wonderful chamber music on historic instruments. Followed by a wine reception. Free to first responders and those displaced by the fires.

Walla Wall Loves Sonoma Benefit Concert: December 7, 2017, 6 p.m., Gesa Power House Theater, Walla Walla, WA. Bands include Musty, Marc & Brix, The Seeds, Abney Park, Brad Yeager. Features raffle of a trip for two to Sonoma, lodging in Healdsburg, and a tour of the Wine Country.

Taste of Anderson Valley: November 9, 6 to 8:30 p.m. Fifty percent of auction proceeds to Community Foundation of Mendocino County, Sonoma County Resilience Fund and Napa Valley Community Foundation. Golden Gate Club Cypress Room, The Presidio, San Francisco.

Nor-Cal Fire Aid Festival: November 9 – 12, 2017, Guerneville. Rodger’s Play Hous Productions, Lazy Bear Fund and Guerneville Cares have teamed up to present a 4 day fundraising event to help fire

November 9, 2017, AT&T Park. Featuring Metallica, G-Eazy, Dave Matthews, Dead & Company, Raphael Saadiq and Rancid. Sponsored by Band Together Bay Area. The Band Together Bay Area benefit concert is underwritten by sponsors, with 100% of ticket sales going to an emergency relief fund established by Tipping Point Community and will be directed to the North Bay community foundations, service providers and government partners supporting the low-income communities hit hardest by the fires. The fund aims to address urgent needs, such as temporary housing,food, education and healthcare services, as well as rebuilding efforts.

Phil ‘n The Blanks Give Back Rocking Dance Party: November 11, 8 to 10 p.m., Tabard Theater, San Jose. Tickets at the door: $20 each. General Admission, $30 each for limited cabaret table seating. Doors open at 7:30. Parking: available for $7.00 at San Pedro/Market street garage, and other nearby downtown garages.

Healdsburg Jazz Festival Jazz Jam Benefit Concert: November 12, 4 to 9 p.m., Paul Mahder Gallery, Healdsburg.to

La Soiree, The French-American Gastronomy & Wine Show: November 17, 2017, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m., at The Village in San Francisco. Fifty percent of the proceeds go to the Napa Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund and the Sonoma County Resilience Fund.

Sonoma County Philharmonic Concerts: November 18 and 19, 2017, Santa Rosa High School Performing Arts Auditorium. “Fanfare and Concerto.”
