Philanthropic Wizard

Community Foundation Sonoma County couldn’t be more proud! We have always known that J Mullineaux is a Philanthropic Wizard but when the University of Washington inducted him into the Huskies’ Hall of Fame this October, they made it official.

J was honored for his lifelong work in the philanthropic sector which includes raising over $400 million for nonprofits like the San Francisco Ballet and Asian Art Museum before coming to Community Foundation Sonoma County nearly nine years ago.

But it is more than just his professional accomplishments which landed him in the Hall of Fame. J lives his life with intention and generosity which permeates the ways he engages in conversations with people, volunteers his time in the community, and supports friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances and those newly introduced to this remarkable man.

Every day, we at the Community Foundation, see J listening to donors and helping them best distill their values and philosophies in order to best make an impact in their philanthropic world. We witness his passion for those marginalized through his work as a mentor to a high school student, the way he champions Sonoma County nonprofts, and his dedication and knowledge about these issues. And every day, it is an honor to share time and work with him.

Please join us in congratulating J!
