Healdsburg Area Fund
Founded in 2003 to serve the greater Healdsburg area—including Geyserville, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and parts of Russian River Valley—this affiliate has granted some $575,000 to 44 nonprofit organizations since its inception. With a $1.3 million endowment, the Healdsburg Area Fund gave over $100,000 to 14 nonprofits in 2014 alone. Such giving showcases what Community Foundations do best, which is to know exactly what the needs of its citizens are and to serve them nimbly.
The Healdsburg Area Fund has a competitive grantmaking program in the fall that supports nonprofits serving the Healdsburg/Geyserville community. To learn about their 2015 grants program and their upcoming grants workshop, click here.
