Susan Price

Welcoming Susan Price, our new Senior Philanthropic Advisor

Community Foundation Sonoma County is thrilled to welcome Susan Price as our new Senior Philanthropic Advisor.

Susan Price stepped into the nonprofit field after receiving her Master of Arts degree in Leadership in Culture, Ecology, and Sustainable Community from New College of California, where she learned to create and motivate good causes. She also earned her undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences from Evergreen State College.

Susan’s interest in the nonprofit field stems from her lifelong desire to have an impact on the world, driving her to spend her time making the world a better place. Susan has always been passionate about the environment and the importance of sustainability. However, following the 2017 and 2019 wildfires, Susan witnessed how the fires exacerbated an already bad housing situation, prompting her to develop a new focus and passion for housing and mental wellness.

Susan joins us from Daily Acts, where she helped helped to build the organization from a start-up with a $55,000 budget to one of Sonoma County’s leading community-building and environmental organizations with a $1.3 million budget. During her 13-year tenure at Daily Acts, Susan held multiple roles in the organization. She brings a wealth of experience and knowledge, and her work deepening relationships with Daily Acts’ donors, staff, board, and community partners makes her a perfect fit at CFSC, where she will work to support our donors in meeting their charitable goals.

Susan first learned about the Community Foundation many years ago and recalls immediately being intrigued by the work our organization does. As she steps into her new role as Senior Philanthropic Advisor, she is most excited to meet donors, learn about their values and the legacies they want to pursue, and to help support their philanthropic journeys.

Susan was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and spent years living in the Midwest before transplanting to the west coast. Susan describes herself as an avid hiker, gardener, and beekeeper – making Sonoma County a wonderful home for her!

We are so happy to have Susan join our team and can’t wait to see all that she accomplishes with us!
