Tricia Savelli, Administrative Assistant, Philanthropy

Welcoming Tricia Savelli, our new Administrative Assistant for the Philanthropic Planning Team

We are delighted to welcome Tricia Savelli to our team as our new Administrative Assistant for the Philanthropic Planning Team.

Tricia joins Community Foundation Sonoma County with a wealth of knowledge and experience. After earning an undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s College of California, Tricia continued on to Fresno State for a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing. While in Fresno, Tricia got the “nonprofit bug” after a summer job at ValleyPBS, and she knew that she wanted to put her writing abilities to good use after graduate school.

Tricia has a background in higher education, holding multiple positions at Fresno State and more recently at Dominican University of California, where she led the marketing and communications efforts for the Admission’s Department. Tricia’s experience in customer service and higher education makes her a wonderful fit at the Community Foundation as she works with donors and supports the Philanthropic Planning Team.

Tricia credits her upbringing for her dedication to helping others. Her parents are small business owners who emphasized the importance of being involved in the community through volunteering, fundraising, and participating in local events. They instilled those values in their children, and Tricia is excited to be able to give back to her community through her work at the Community Foundation.

Tricia first learned about the Community Foundation in 2017 as a result of the work CFSC did during the wildfires. Now as the foundation’s Administrative Assistant, she is looking forward to finding new ways to support the organization’s mission.

Tricia grew up in Novato, and recently settled into her Petaluma home with her husband and dog. She’s thrilled to join the Sonoma County community, returning to the county that first welcomed her family when they migrated from Italy in the early 1900’s. Tricia loves the variety of food, community events, and natural beauty that Sonoma County has to offer. She enjoys picking up new hobbies such as pottery, sewing, and furniture restoration.

We are thrilled to have Tricia join the CFSC team!
